Michael Huxley is Reader in Dance at De Montfort University, UK. His published research is in early modern dance and dance history and includes recent articles in Dance, Movement and Spiritualities, Discourses in Dance, Dance and Somatic Practices and Research in Dance Education. He has contributed to eight books, has been Chair of the Editorial Board for Dance Research Journal, Head of Performing Arts at De Montfort University and was Senior Academic Adviser Dance and Board Chair for the HE performing arts subject centre PALATINE.
